For the first time since her mother's death, Belgian Maia visits the Slovenian house where her mother lived for the last two years of her life. While planning to sell the house, she is confronted by vivid dreams of a mysterious woman from the 17th century. Gradually, Maia gets a grip of her visions that tell the story of Marta who was seen as a witch. As Maia delves deeper into Marta's life, Maia realizes that she needs to go through Marta's story to get closer to the loss of her own mother.
